I came across Everlane the other day while browsing through my blogger list. I googled them, and then clicked through nearly every page of their chic website. I simply love the simplicity and their mission, and of course the ease of their clothes. Perfect for layering, for all seasons too.
I find that I can never have too many white tees. And I've also come to the realization that the cheaper the white tee the quicker it gets retired to my slub/workout drawer... I'm sure it's the one place my hanging clothes fear the most.
JCrew has always been my go to brand for tees, their vintage cotton v-necks have never steered me wrong, but I'm in the mood for something new... So Everlane tees and long sleeves, you're welcomed to my closet.

On the ledge...

... About to jump.

When presented with a choice; a) continue doing the same thing by working for someone else, and be in the same position 10 years down the road, b) change your future by jumping and taking that risk to do what you love and end up where you want to be 10 years down the road.

What would you do?

I've been tossing this idea around for the last few months. I may come to a fork in the road very soon where I need to decide. I'm certainly not getting any younger, and this would be a great time for me to 'jump' while I have no children or spouse to care for. As many know, my parents have their own business that I love dearly- someday that business can be mine, but I need to become experienced in the trade. This excites me. But of course the unknowns are frightening. I've never been a chancer- I think most things out. I like to have a plan.

What would you do? Sacrifice is one thing you can't be scared of, nor hardwork and grunt work.

When I said I was going to play tourist, I meant it, to the fullest extent.
We toured just about every thing tour-able in DC. All the monuments and memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, Ben's Chili Bowl, U-Street Corridor, Adams Morgan, Georgetown, and it was fabulous. I cannot wait to go back and do it all AGAIN.

DC completely blew me away. It was beyond my expectation- the neighborhoods, restaurants, shops, the sights, buildings, the people, everything. It was probably one of the best tourist-y vacations I've been on. I flew to Maryland to visit a friend, so two newbies took it all in together.

The first day was spent in Baltimore- mainly at the National Aquarium. After being amazed by all the cool fish and sharks we visited Inner Harbor, took in a street performance, had a bloody mary and chatted about what we would do with our lives if I moved there.
