Live by this

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."

A Homage to Best Friends

As I mentioned in previous posts, I spent the past weekend in Houston visiting my 'drifter' friends. :)
I mean that in a good way.. they followed their hearts and remain blessed... I need to follow in their footpaths. :)

Jenn, Liz, Kristen and I have been best friends for MANY years. Going on 10 years now.
We've seen each other through it all and are still lending hands graciously.
I love them with all my heart, they are like family. No matter how much distance is between us we are closer than ever.

Here is a little homage to my besties.

Friday to Houston

Good morning dear friends!
Its Friday, can I get a Hallelujah?
Today's the day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it!

Today is also the day I fly down to Houston to visit my dear friends and fellow bloggers, Jenn from Contemporary Harbor and Elizabeth from Barefoot and Beautiful!
I haven't seen them since Christmas, and even then our time was short.
I am beyond excited!

Yesterday was a good day... time heals everything.
I had a fabulous work out with Nowfitness, visited with my sister for a bit, and packed for a much needed getaway!
I'm certain I forgot something...
And I am so thankful it was not windy! : )

I loved this little outfit I threw together. I was a little unsure whether or not I should I pack this skirt away with my winter clothes, its fleece, but I think it offered a nice contrast. Fleece in the Spring! Imagine! : )
And as you can see, its short and very flowy, so Yes! Thankful for no wind yesterday!

Shirt- Target, Skirt- UO, Bracelets- vintage, thrifted, Necklace- UO (clock and Eiffel Tower charm. Its my favorite.)

Have a blessed Friday!

Lone Wolf

Tank- Target, Jeans- Gap, Sandals- MRKT

Oh how I love on-the-verge-of-summer nights, when the Cardinals are playing baseball.
I was the receiver of some pretty interesting news yesterday, and I refused to sit at home and listen to the radio all by my lonesome. (I don't have TV, so I couldn't even WATCH the game.)
So, after finding no one to go out with me, I decided to take myself out. I found this bar called The Mack. It could have been the perfect place to enjoy the game with the other cute young locals, but I made a huge mistake from the get-go.
I just can't change who I am, I am a super friendly, great listener who always dresses nicely. And this far to often gets me into trouble. I guess thats a step too far, its just, I couldn't shake this old man from talking to me about... everything. From what he did that day, to what he likes to eat. Here I am, sitting at the bar between the cute Cardinal fan crowd, and this old guy, trying to sip my beer and enjoy the game. I guess I should have been rude and ignored him, or moved to the other end of the bar.. It's just not who I am...
Needless to say, I only stayed for a few innings. Glen. Glen was his name.
Thanks Glen, for chasing me away.

Do you ever venture out alone?
