Another wonderful weekend has come and passed. *sigh*
I could not be more pleased! The 30th annual antique sale was held in Paris, I've attended for the 2nd year, and found some really stuff to furnish my apartment with. See last years crazy purchase Here. Unfortunately I need a handy man to help me assemble and hang them- so I don't have any photos yet. :(
On Sunday, my mother and I went to the flea market, I found a darling cactus and some fresh plums. It wasn't until we were on our way out that I found the wooden crates at a neighboring antique store. The lady was such a dear.
Here's my story- I've been wanting a bookcase since last spring. A real one, a big one, with lots of character. Not the kind you assemble yourself from target or Walmart- ick. So I was on the hunt more than ever the last couple days- but nothing fit my wants. I've been tossing around the idea of using milk crates, or egg crates, wooden crates in general. Well, this lady had some of the best looking crates for $20 each. She took the time to clean them up- they were beautiful. So I bought her out. I got 5 wonderful old crates. And I am so pleased with the results. And Esme approves.
